An integral part of the Fellowship in Square Dancing is the “Friendship Visitation Program.” Administered by Oscar and Suzi Aleman, this fun and valuable program allows a way for dancers to chart and record their visits to other square dances. After completing the Friendship Card (20 visits documented by the name of the dance, date, and signature) the dancer sends their Friendship card to the Aleman’s, who then forward the names of each person to the Executive Board for posting. At each quarterly meeting, the posted names are put in a drawing for a nice prize. In addition, the dancers get new “Dangles” in increments of 20, with special level “Dangles” awarded for each increment of 100 visits! It’s a wonderful way to grow your “Friendship” with dancers from other clubs and makes for an enticing way to chart your visits to Square Dance events. We would love to have everyone start their pursuit of these special acknowledgments!
For the 1st quarter of 2025, the following names will be entered into the prize drawing:
Alfreda Blake KPP – #180, Ira Guilliams KPP – #400, Deb Holmes 4 B’s – #100, Manuel Rodriguez Texas Renegades – #420 and June Walston Camping Squares – #540
Keep on Dancing!
