Dear Houston area square and round dancers,

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for coming together for our fundraising event to benefit our neighbors in the Texas Hill Country. Your energy, laughter, and generosity filled the gym at Concordia Lutheran Church with more than music – you filled it with love, hope, and community spirit.

Every twirl, every do-si-do, and every shared smile was a reminder of what makes our HSRDC square dance family so special. Your support not only helped us with the fundraising, it also reminded us that we are never dancing alone. Over 200 dancers met to help our neighbors to the west.

The HSRDC Board, both elected and appointed officers, are deeply grateful for each of you, the dancers, Club Officers, HCA Callers, Dave Vieira, and Marilyn Waguespack – for your time, your kindness, and your willingness to join hands (literally!) to make a difference. You all proved that when people come together with joy and purpose, remarkable things happen.

We will announce the total contribution to the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country once the tabulation is completed. But rest assured, it’s an amount we can all be very proud of.

We also want to extend special thanks to all of the folks who made donations in services, baked goods, and gifts of an amazing variety for making this all possible. Your contributions plus an extraordinary display of financial generosity made this an event we will all remember.
