4 B’s Mardi Gras Dance “Les bons temps!”

The good times truly rolled on Tuesday, February 17, as the Brazos Bottom Belles and Beaus hosted their Mardi Gras Dance. The festive celebration was enjoyed by more than 90 people, with laughter, music, and Mardi Gras spirit filling the room. A highlight of the night was the colorful parade, led by HSRDC Presidents Carol and Charles Thornburg as King and Queen of the Krewe of HSRDC.

The 4B’s invited all area clubs to join the celebration. The dance welcomed 43 members, 44 guests, and 15 students. This marked the first time the club hosted more visitors than members, a testament to the interest and participation in the event.

The evening began with lively Zydeco line dancing led by Debra Garner, followed by Mainstream lessons with Keith Klix. After the parade, dancers enjoyed spirited Mainstream and Plus tips called by guest caller Phillip Kamm from Germany, with rounds cued by Marilyn Waguespack. Bayou Country refreshments, including Paul LeBlanc’s famous gumbo, kept everyone fueled for dancing. Dressed in purple, gold, and green with masks and costumes adding flair. Guests left smiling and looking forward to the next chance to let the good times roll.
