LESSONS
Dancers Needed for Caller Workshops and Mainstream Lessons at Concordia Lutheran
HSRDC and the Houston Caller Association are co-hosting Caller Workshops with Vernon Jones and Tim Ploch on Saturdays, from July 18 to August 22. Dancers are needed this Saturday, July 18 from 11:30-12:30 and 1:30-3:30pm to give callers an opportunity to practice what they’ve learned during the class. Let’s have a nice-sized group show up to support our local callers! Stay and angel at the Mainstream Lessons from 3:30-5:30pm. (Note new times!) Recent graduates are encouraged to attend! The sessions are FREE for dancers and designed to build confidence while connecting with fellow dancers and count towards the Steal the Banner Competition!
Get a Headstart on the New Plus Calls
Tim Ploch’s First Tuesday Series is a great place to learn the new calls that have been added to the Plus list. Fairbees are offering a 40-minute Plus lesson workshop on Thursday at 7pm. The workshop includes 8 new Plus Calls and Rusty Hinges from the previous week. Bluebonnet Squares are working the new Plus calls with Pat Kotal at 6:30pm on August 3, 10, 17 and 24, and Tomball Promenaders are having lessons on the new plus calls later this year.
