Celebrate the spirit of friendship, fellowship, and square dancing as we gather for the HSRDC 3rd Quarter Meeting and “Summer Nights” Tribute Dance on Sunday, August 16. The afternoon begins with the HSRDC Quarterly Meeting and Election of 2027 Officers from 4:00–4:45 p.m., followed by a fun-filled evening of dancing from 5:00–7:30 p.m. with Vernon Jones calling. During the meeting, we’ll also recognize the clubs that participated in the Steal the Banner Competition, so be sure to bring your Steal the Banner Certificates as we celebrate your club’s participation and enthusiasm.
This special dance will honor the memory of Jim Earles, a beloved member of several HSRDC clubs whose love of square dancing touched many lives. In keeping with Jim’s passion for growing our activity, freewill donations will be gratefully accepted to support caller education and new dancer education, helping strengthen and expand square dancing throughout the Greater Houston area. Come dressed in square dance attire or summer casual, and please bring skewers or other finger foods to share. Whether you come for the meeting, the dancing, the fellowship, or to honor Jim’s legacy, we hope you’ll join us for an afternoon and evening of fun, friendship, and giving back to the activity we all love.
